I will overwhelm 'legitimate combatant' Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight round contest which will be broadcast live on the streaming platform.

Briton Joshua stated he will "overwhelm entirely" the American and "defeat" his opponent as the combatants came face-to-face to publicize next month's heavyweight fight.

Former two-time unified boxing king Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, theoretically, a mammoth disparity - at Miami venue on 19 December.

Boxer's Mentality

"I'm going to damage his features and damage his physique. I aim to demonstrate I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35, declared.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's how fighters think.

"I will seriously aim to injure him. That's my intention."

Civil Interaction

Despite such comments, a calm Anthony Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - usually famous for his dramatics - exchanged pleasantries and remained civil with each other.

Paul rather attacked former Joshua's opponent the Cameroonian fighter and labeled him "a joke" after the Cameroonian declined a fight offer.

Taking Aim at Fury

Joshua, at the same time, criticized British opponent Fury - and declined a large bet 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a victory for Paul.

"Jake Paul is better than Tyson Fury - he's present here," the boxer said.

"I give him credit for that."

Serious Fighter

In spite of saying he intends to punish Paul, Joshua chose not to comment unfavorably about his rival's pugilistic talent.

"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he remarked.

Paul's History

Jake Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has primarily fought mixed martial artists or faded names since turning professional.

He lost to Briton Tommy Fury in last year.

Financial Success

However, the novice remains one of boxing's largest financial successes, regularly earning massive earnings.

Forecast and Belief

The 28-year-old predicted a KO victory in rounds four or five and claimed he would prevent the long-awaited Fury-Joshua bout, which is allegedly under discussion for two years from now.

"The next fight will be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Paul said.

Size Difference

As both boxers engaged in the usual confrontation, with their size difference evident, it emphasized just how unlikely this whole event is - and how remarkable it is that the match is really proceeding.
